Didn’t know what to expect from hand therapy but Mary was wonderful, welcoming, good listener, good explainer and so easy to work with. After one visit and one week of home exercises I saw improvement. My hands keep getting better, more flexible, less painful with each weekly visit and then there is her paraffin treatment – ahhh. Don’t delay getting help from Mary for any hand ailments – carpel tunnel, trigger fingers, arthritis – she’s a gem.

I visited Mary due to increasing pain and stiffness in my right hand, particularly my thumb and majeur. She created a splint for the thumb, which I wore for 6 weeks, and gave me exercises to do regularly. Within two months the goals we had set forflexibility a nd pain level had been reached or exceeded. Though there is still room for improvement, no more splint, and moderated exercises aim to maintain and continue improvement. No more sessions needed.

This morning we started with a paraffin dip of the afflicted hand and wrist. After a few minutes in the warming mitten, Mary removed the mitten, and the paraffin “glove.” She then gently kneaded the hand and wrist. She followed up with a series of passive/active exercises for me to roll into my self-care portfolio. What I am most impressed with is not only Mary’s knowledge of the hand/wrist bone structure, the clinical portion, but she takes the time to explain the functionality. -George

I came to Mary with a large full-thickness skin graft from a recent gender-affirming surgery, looking for help regaining range of motion and strength so that I could continue pursuing the adventure sports I am passionate about. I have only positive things to say about both Mary and Brian. Mary’s depth of knowledge and experience was evident from my first phone call with her. She is friendly, understanding, encouraging, and compassionate, which made me look forward to each appointment with her.

I’ve been receiving follow up care/occupational therapy from Mary Woodbury after undergoing wrist surgery a couple months ago and cannot recommend her highly enough! From my first visit, I’ve felt consistently comfortable and well-cared for. She listens to my concerns, answers all of my questions, and has been encouraging as she helps me move through this extended process of regaining use and strength of my dominant hand. Her skill, expertise, and humor are top notch!

Mary Woodbury is one of the most attentive, professional, knowledgeable, experienced and caring Occupational Therapists I have ever met and seen. I had Arthroplasty surgery on my left thumb in September 2022 and have been seeing Mary regularly since. Mary is always on time for our appointment and has never once kept me waiting. Her office is warm, welcoming and very clean. Mary has consistently gone above and beyond. I cannot say enough good about her. She’s a gem and truly top-notch.
